Cow'woman' Boots...Redlicious!
Can I simply confess here and now that wearing these red cowboy cowgirl cowWoman boots makes me feel sooooooooooo good!
If I could wear them to sleep, know that I would. Larry might not take too kindly to being impaled by red pointy toed footware –– so it's probably a good thing I don't have spurs –– yet!

The Way I Pray
"Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it."
~ Helen Keller
So not to impose my will onto their spirits,
I'm send my thoughts in the form of
loving kindness
&
that they be free from unnecessary suffering

Believing
their strength of spirit
will figure out the rest
Today's Red says, "Exhale, passionately in all directions!"

Journal entry ~
Jan 13th, 1:31am
have had the red book, on my night stand for over a month now, but had no idea what it was about or that it was totally, completely, unfreak'n - believably seeping into my consciousness the entire time i slept with my head only inches from its juicy content.
without ever cracking the binder, it already has changed my life & has made me a better woman –– the divine Red spark that i'm still becoming.
so, [note to self] you've been 100% correct all along. the really important book don't necessarily need to be read with the eyes alone-so long as the night stand is close enough for all the wisdom to jump into my mind-body-spirit as i dream the nightimes into sunrises.
my new woman crush and heroine for my life, this year, this week, this post –– Sera Beak, author of The Red Book and website/blogger owner of Spiritual Cowgirl.
I feel like Sera offers permission slips to those of us who haven't quite discovered with conviction that we now call them, confetti!
Who doesn't love a man in high heels?
Really, who doesn't love a man in high heels?
It's the he's got better makeup & hairstyle than I do that pushes my buttons.
I don't have the energy or time in my life to be jealous of a middle aged man's calf muscles and toner –– I mean, come on! Don't we women have enough to contend with.

I'm Wired!
Do you think Larry & Wes suspected an ulterior motive when on Christmas morning they opened their shared gift from me –– a complete boxed set of the HBO series, The Wire? I certainly hope not. And beings this is my blog and they have a hard time pretending they listen to me when I'm in the same room, well fat chance that cat will get let out of the bag.
Truly a guilty pleasure, The Wire is freaking awesome!
From the gritty story lines; fast paced dialogues; disturbing yet insightful peek into albeit made for TV, but depicts true-to-life urban drug gang culture, this series has made it to my top 5.
The Wire has some of the best characters. From the savvy entrepreneur,
drop dead gorgeous hot impeccably dressed Stringer Bell
–– to now one of my favorite bad guys, "you feel me?" Omar
–– to the tug-your-heartstrings compassionate crack head Bubbles
–– to a family man through and through – Avon Barksdale.
If you can take the violence, blood, political corruption, drunken police department, and nonstop expletive language, well by all means stop by & pull up a couch cushion on Monday evenings when we'll be watching –– just after we play Jeopardy with Alex Trebek, of course.
